With 17 podium placings in 2007, Chris Baldwin had one of his most consistent seasons ever and was a threat for the win in virtually every race he started.

Baldwin has a total of 19 career wins, including two national time trial championships, claiming the title for the first time in 2003 (the same year his wife, Kimberly, won the women?s title) and again in 2005. He is also a Pan-American games silver medalist.

His interest in cycling began early on and by the time he was 13, Chris was hanging out at the local bike shop ? enough that the shop owner finally gave him a job. Encouraged by the staff at the shop and supported by his parents, he started racing.

Over the span of his career, he has demonstrated his toughness and versatility as a durable rider capable of being a threat in any racing situation. He is a dependable team player and is known for his tenacity in long breakaways. Chris is well schooled in the discipline of team racing and tactics, and he uses these skills to help his team produce the best results possible.

He credits mentors such as Nate Reiss, for helping him develop, and said he is inspired by other cycling vets like Scott Moninger (new Toyota-United Pro Cycling Asst. Director) who have managed to stay motivated throughout their long careers.

When he is not racing, Chris' other interests include water and snow skiing, woodworking, and reading his favorite Steinbeck novels. Chris and his wife, Kimberly, live in Colorado.
