Chris Baldwin represented the Toyota-United Pro Cycling Team Saturday at the USA Cycling Professional Championship Time Trial. Photographer Charles Herskowitz documents the day in pictures.

Baldwin?s was extremely focused, but his mood was light-hearted before the event.

Baldwin rolled down the start ramp three minutes before defending champion Dave Zabriskie.

At the turnaround, Baldwin had conceded 39 seconds to Zabriskie.

The Cliffs Communities provided a beautiful backdrop to the second championship time trial in Greenville.

Baldwin crossed the line with the seventh-fastest time, with Zabriskie still to finish.

Afterwards, Baldwin verifies his number for an anti-doping control officer.
