USA Cycling Professional Championship Time Trial

Chris Baldwin represented the Toyota-United Pro Cycling Team Saturday at the USA Cycling Professional Championship Time Trial. Photographer Charles Herskowitz documents the day in pictures.

Baldwin?s was extremely focused, but his mood was light-hearted before the event. 
Baldwin was the second-to-last rider to leave the start gate.

Baldwin rolled down the start ramp three minutes before defending champion Dave Zabriskie.  Baldwin rounds the first turn just 100 meters from the start gate.

At the turnaround, Baldwin had conceded 39 seconds to Zabriskie.  The Cliffs Communities provided a beautiful backdrop to the second championship time trial in Greenville.

Baldwin crossed the line with the seventh-fastest time, with Zabriskie still to finish.  Afterwards, Baldwin verifies his number for an anti-doping control officer.
