April 14: Tour de Georgia Toyota-United?s Ivan Dominguez was one of six riders who were featured at Saturday?s Tour de Georgia press conference at the Wyndham Hotel in Peachtree City, Ga.
Dominguez drew hearty laughs from members of the media for his quips and one-liners. Asked how he felt to be in the company of overall race favorites such as Tom Danielson and Levi Leipheimer (both of Discovery Channel Pro Cycling) and Tyler Hamilton (Tinkoff Credit Systems), Dominguez said matter-of-factly, ?I don?t like it.?
Later, when asked how what his thoughts were about the crash he suffered on the circuit finish into Macon last year, Dominguez said, ?I was thinking ?this is going to hurt.??
That evening?s presentation of teams, scheduled for the Fred Amphitheater, was called off due to strong storms that swept into the area just a half-hour before the outdoor event.
