April 16: Tour de Georgia

Stage One ? Tour de Georgia

Strong winds greeted the 120 riders at the start of Stage One of the Tour de Georgia Monday afternoon. A breakaway group of five riders gained more than eight minutes? lead but Toyota-United?s chasing efforts nearly closed the gap as the race reached Macon. Ivan Dominguez?s fifth place finish was his third top 10 placing of the year in a ProTour event.
